Ho Chi Minh has amazing cafes rich in art, local vibes, local dishes and people watching:) As it is generally hot throughout the whole year,  people prefer to sit outside when it is dark as they don’t have to protect themselves from the sun and they enjoy being outside. But during the day, sitting under the sun is not easy, it is best to sit inside with the AC:)

Let me show you the 3 best cafes in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

1-) VY CAFE

Address: 278 Le Thanh Ton, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1

I love exploring the city by going to local places, not only to tourist attractions. VY Cafe was higly suggested by local people I met in Ho Chi Minh so I got to spend some time here when I was in Ho Chi Minh.

This place is amazing! No foreigners around, all local people, perfect for observing the daily life of locals. Taking selfies, playing games on the phone, they all have one thing in common: Vietnamese Coffee on the table!

Normally I am not a coffee person, and when people ask me which one would be easy for me to quit: Coffee or Alcohol? I did quit them both haha, sorry for ruining the excitement but true, well it was true. I didn’t like coffee that much but my time in Vietnam changed it.

The Vietnamese coffee which has this magical effect on me is called Ca Phe Sua, which is Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. You can see it on the right picture above. Thanks to Ca Phe Su’a, I started to drink coffee  and let me tell you this: I LOVE IT! I wrote a separate post about Ca Phe Sua as it deserves to be one of the highlights of my trip.

This cafe is generally packed with people so you will share your mini table with other locals and it is a great way to chat and get to know the culture more.

I loved the art pieces here, it gives great vibes to the  cafe. Bringing my laptop here and sitting in that wooden seat made me to draw as well…
