Catching the sunrise
Waking up to a brand new day with roosters crowing…4.30am..It was time to go out of the tent to catch the sunrise… Here is the view from Seven Star Pier…
I love listening to the nature when every creature starts to wake up and say “hey, good morning” to a new day in their own language…
You’ll see what I mean with this video…
We waited for the sun to come up…we waited and waited and waited…but then thought that we weren’t gonna catch the sunrise as the sky was getting brighter and brighter…So I went back to the tent…After a while Nancy woke me up saying that the sun was coming up…I was running to the balcony after I got rid of the duvet that was wrapped around me in the tent…
Finally, here is the sun above the mountains…Love to see the sunshine coming through the clouds…
Let’s have a look at Kenggen Stone Village whether there were any eraly birds like we were…Nope, there was no action in the village…
The sun was blocked by the clouds after a short while…
Look what I caught…What do you see in the picture below that doesn’t fit into the concept?
Yep, my tooth brush(haha)…I was on my way to the bathroom to brush my teeth when I saw this lady spreading some kind of vegetable leaves on the ground…
Ok, now we can focus on the lady…
Breakfast Time
This was our breakfast…The porridge and the leftovers of the chicken…
Look who was there to accompany us at breakfast?
And here was the magical moments…Peaceful clouds started to surround us…
I just loved it…
On the way back
We were on our way to the shuttle that was gonna take us to the bus terminal…I was constantly taking pictures!
Here is another memorial stone on the hills…
The way that goes to Seven Star Pier and to Kenggen Stone Village…
The other houses on the hills…
Everywhere was green except the sky!
Here is our shuttle…
Again the popular flower in the countryside, in Chinese “Do Juan Hua” and Azalea in English…Take a closer look at the azalea…
More peaceful clouds seen on the way…
At the end of this road a great view was waiting for us…
Magical Mountains

This was our route…Doesn’t it look like go karting?
The problem was I wanted to stay here longer as we were on our way back to Shanghai…Hiking on the mountains, catching more sunrises…
Deng Long – Chinese Red Lanterns
They are called “Deng long” in Chinese which are used to celebrate special occations and it is believed that they bring luck…Every China Town around the world is best known for their red lanterns. In the ancient years in lantern festivals, artists were competing against each other to make the most beautiful Chinese red lanterns…We saw a lot of Chinese red lanterns along the way…
The little waterfall along the way…
This was the firt time that I realized the motorcycle in a “tuktuk”…
The roofs of the houses in Yunhe County…Is this a big house or they just forgot to separate the roofs or maybe just a protection from the rain?
China Timber Trade
China has been working so hard to build stuff for over 10 years…The buildings I’ve seen on the way, the ghost buildings…This is mind blowing…If you wonder how mind blowing it is? Bill Gates put it with numbers…
Like the cement situation, it is also mind blowing for timber trade… China’s huge demand for timber to fuel its economic boom is driving illegal logging and contributing to the destruction of forests in Asia, a new enivironmental report says.
Here is one of the biggest timberyard in Yunhe County…
You can see this everywhere in China…Drying clothes on the street…
Do you remember the holes on the kids’ pants…Here is another one…
I am telling you, this is the best way to travel…
Again, drying clothes, this time beside the river…
Cyclists we had seen in Kenggen Stone Village were on the road again…
On the gate, it says “wooden toys”…
Here is the downtown of Yunhe County
The Sleeper Bus
Here is our bus but this bus is different than any other buses…
The difference is this bus has beds. We were gonna travel with this sleeper bus…The best bus ever! It costs 70RMB per person and you can take this bus at Chongtou Town Bus Station. It leaves only in the mornings so better to check the departure time in advance. It takes 7 hours to arrive Shanghai.
It was so comfortable!
Here is my neighbor!
This bus even has a toilet! Can you believe that!!
It started to rain again…I was lying on my bed and watching the rain from my window…
The front row of the bus…
More trains (slow&fast) will be on the way soon…
