Finding my way to the hostel in Bangkok

If you landed here first, take a look at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. Why did I use  the public transportation vehicles instead of taking a cab and going to my hostel fast and easy? Well, because the second one is the way tourists prefer. I am not a tourist, I am a traveller and I travel the way locals do because:

“You can’t understand a city without using its public transportation system.” – Erol Ozan

Definitely! I usually take the public transportation when I am abroad so that I can observe the local life, culture and people closely. I did the same in Bangkok. Let’s go!

This is the place where I I took the free airport minivan to the Public Transportation Center to go to.

Just about to melt under the sun, I saw the shuttle coming …The air condition in the shuttle was sooo good!

From the Public Transportation Center, I took public minivan No.552 to the hostel.

Once we hit the roads, I started to take more and more pictures…

The roads in Bangkok…We got stuck in the traffic for a while because we were passing through the protest area but then it was ok as you can see…

I got off at Bang Chat BTS Station. While I was looking around to figure out which way to go, these two ladies came towards me to ask whether I was lost or not… Yeah, you can say that, haha… My angels…Thai people are really kind…

I had no idea how I noticed her nails but I got the permission to take a photo of it…What do you think about it? Not my style for sure…Didyou notice anything else? The color? Yeah, as the protests hit new peak when I was there people supporting the protests were wearing accessorizes like hats, belts, hair pins, rings, earings etc and clothes with the color of Thai Flag. After all the “don’t” warning from my family and consulate! As you can imagine, they were just triggering the reverse psychology button! I was even more curious to see the protest areas.

Almost everyone, 5 out of 6 people,  could speak English so it was easy to find my way to the hostel without asking tones of people and having the possibility of being misled…

Finally I arrived at my hostel! See you in the next article about my home in Bangkok.
