Getting closer and closer…Do you know why it has this shape? It is a reflection Mount Meru which is accepted as the center of the universe in Tibetian Buddhism.

Wat Arun is named after Aruna, the Indian God of Dawn…This central prang is 80 meters tall and surrounded by four small prangs which are dedicated to the wind god Phra Phai.

You can visit Wat Arun from 8,30 am to 5.30 pm but they let you stay in till 6.15 pm. The entrance fee for foreigners is 30 baht and free for Thai citizens. When you jump on the Chao Phraya River Express boat from any other piers and get off at Tha Thien Pier. The things are important, watching the sunset and the city at Wat Arun and then cross the river and watch Wat Arun with the amazing colors…See you in the next article!
